The former U-17 international has hinted he would be willing to make his Eagles call up permanent with a good performance against Liberia
Onazi just broke into the Lazio team is ready to seize the opportunity if he is given his debut for the Super Eagles on Saturday in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia in Calabar.
"First of all, I will like that give thanks to God for making this possible. It is a great opportunity for me and it is good feeling for me,” Ogenyi told Goal.com.
“I am thrilled to get my country’s call again after the U-17 World Cup and it will continue to be very special for me. It is a good place to be and normal too since what I am expected to do is to come around and give in my best and ensure the team achieve set goals.
"I am 100 percent prepared and ready to do my nation proud if I am considered.
“I also know that the team is equally prepared as well. We have been training for couple of days now and on Saturday we will ensure we play as a team and fight harder until we get a decent victory.
“That expected victory will mark our return to the Africa Cup of Nations. We are going to achieve our aim as I have said," Onazi concluded.
