The management of Kano Pillars has named the successful title winning coach as head of the technical departmentKano Pillars have named coach Mohammed Baba Ganaru as the new Technical Adviser after he led the team to win the Nigeria Premier League trophy last season.
According to the club's media officer, Idris Malikawa, Ganaru was promoted from his position of chief coach because of the splendid way he led the team to win the NPL title last season.
"The management is happy with him for what he achieved last season with the team," said Malikawa.
"He was the chief coach of the team and has proved beyond all reasonable doubt that he is the man to lead the team in the Caf Champions League next year.
"So the management felt they should further encourage him by rewarding him as the new Technical Adviser. They also told him to make sure Kano Pillars improve in all ramifications next season.
"It is a call to service for Baba Ganaru because so much will be expected from him as the team prepares for the coming season. We are optimistic that Ganaru will take the team to the next level," Malikawa told Goal.com.
Players of the Kano side are back in camp after a two weeks break.
