The general manager of the Oluyole Warriors has disclosed that the team will not sign more than a half dozen of players for next season

Shooting Stars Sports Club General Manager, Mutiu Adepoju has said that the team will not recruit more than six players for next season.

Adepoju told that the only way to sustain the impressive performance of the team in the second round of the Nigeria Premier League last season is not to tamper with the playing staff.

"We need to sustain the tempo with which we played in the second round of the Premier League last season. And the only way to do it is to retain the bulk of the players.

"That is why we are just going to recruit only six players so that there will be no disruption in the rhythm of the players when another season begins.

"Everybody will agree that we have a good team. And with just six quality players, you can be sure that the team will be strengthened for the coming season.

"And when we sign just six players, Shooting Stars will challenge for the League title from the first day of the season.

"Unlike last season when we struggled in the first round, we are going to make sure that we do the best we can from the beginning of next season," said Adepoju.

Shooting Stars finished in the 14th position last season on 49 points.
