Akwa United are preparing for life after Solomon Ogbeide as the coach is set to be named as the new handler of Warri Wolves. The club finished in the 10th position with 50 points last season.
Officials of the club told Goal.com that they are monitoring the situation and will immediately set out to get a new coach once Ogbeide signs the contract papers for Warri Wolves.
"We are going to get a new coach once it is confirmed that Ogbeide has joined Warri Wolves. We don't want to leave any stone unturned because there is no time to waste," an official said.
"We want our coach to be the one in charge of recruitment of players. He is the one that will work with the players and the new coach must be able to indentify the players he wants to prosecute the league matches next season.
"We had a good team last season. What the new coach will add to the present squad is to strengthen some areas and we will be ready for the new season.
"Our confidence is in the fact that we treat our players very well and every coach will want to work for us".
Coaches are already lining up to take over from Ogbeide if he joins Warri Wolves.
