The national coach has taken time to dispel all thoughts that Liberia’s Lone Stars will just capitulate at the sight of the Super Eagles
Coach Stephen Keshi told all the players in training on Monday at the Abuja Stadium practise pitch that the Lone Stars of Liberia will be hard nuts to crack, especially on home turf in Monrovia.
“A country that has produced the likes of George Weah, who became world best footballer cannot be said to be weak in talent,” Keshi told his players.
“But we must show that we are stronger. I expect a tough, bruising game against Liberia and I trust that all of us will rise to the occasion”, Keshi added.
Keshi also disclosed that he knew that the Liberian players are quite robust and will be revved up for the challenge of the Super Eagles.
All the players invited for the match are expected to have arrived by Tuesday with goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama expected on Wednesday.
The team will depart for Monrovia on Friday according to a new schedule released by the Nigeria Football Federation.
