Rangers' Ejike Uzoenyi will know later today whether he will be given a contract by French side, Olympique Marseille after he impressed officials of the side in his one week trials.
The trials which started at the beginning of the week ended yesterday and he might stay back and sign before the transfer window in Europe comes to an end on Friday.
Respected French newspaper L'Equipe reports that a decision for the Nigerian international should be taken on Thursday and the coach Olympian Elie Baup would not be against it.
The arrival of Uzoenyi might blow up the chances of Gaël Kakuta who is on loan from Chelsea remaining with the French team this season.
Officials of Rangers are however confident he will be given a contract because he is a good player. Rangers media officer Foster Chime told Goal.com that Uzoenyi is one player that will fit into any team.
"We have always known he is a good player and we are sure he will do his best if given a contract by the French side," Chime said.
Uzoenyi is in the Super Eagles team that will face Liberia in the final 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifer on September 8th in Monrovia.
