The Super Eagles midfielder is in France to try out with the former French champions as he hopes to tie down a contract in EuropeEnugu Rangers midfielder, Ejike Uzoenyi is in France to train with French top club Marseille and is hoping to tie down a contract.
Uzoenyi, who is an integral part of the Super Eagles team preparing for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia travelled a week ago and is expected to be back Thursday to rejoin the team in Abuja.
Rangers officials told Goal.com that they are aware Ejike travelled to France and are optimistic the player will be signed on by Marseille.
"We are in touch with him and we are praying for him to succeed in France. He is coming back on Thursday and will move straight to the Super Eagles camp in Abuja," an official told Goal.com.
"He is a very good player and has been in the thick of action for Rangers this season as they strive to win the Nigeria Premier League title after 29 years of a trophy drought."
Uzoenyi has scored four goals in the Nigeria Premier League this season.
