The former Enyimba striker has started justifying the confidence reposed in him with a goal in his first game for Rizespor
Former Enyimba attacker, Uche Kalu has started repaying the confidence of his new Turkish side, Caykur Rizespor when he scored in his debut in the game against Gaziantep in the second division on Sunday.
He scored the first goal on 63 minutes and also gave the assist for Alkilic to score the second goal on 91 minutes as they won 2-1 at home.
Kalu was happy after the game and disclosed that he will score more goals that will ensure the team return to the first division of the league.
“It was a good experience for me. Scoring in my debut for my team has given me an added confidence that this one year loan from Enyimba will be a good one," said Kalu.
“I did not find it hard adjusting and playing with my team mates and they all cooperated with me. I am promising the club that I will continue to score goals for the team.
“I like everything I have seen in the team and if we continue to play the way we did in the first game, then nothing will stop us from gaining promotion at the end of the season,” Kalu said.
Kalu is an integral part of Stephen Keshi's Super Eagles team that will battle Liberia for a place in the Africa Cup of Nations next year in South Africa.
