Kano Pillars' coach has stated that the resolve of the club to win the league this season has made them to take the welfare of their players and officials very seriouslyKano Pillars' coach, Mohammed Baba Ganaru said the reason the management of the club decided to fly the players and officials of the club for the NPL Week 37 away game against Akwa United on Wednesday was to enable the players be in teh right frame to win the away fixture.
Pillars are second only by on goals difference to leaders, Enugu Rangers with 61 points with two matches to the end of the season.
Baba Ganaru in an interview with Goal.com said the management decided against a laborious road trip to Uyo the venue of the match.
He said the team went straight to Abuja on Tuesday from where they connected the flight to Uyo in time for their Wednesday cracker.
"We don't want our players to suffer unnecessarily and that is why the management approved of our journey by flight. We shall get to Uyo around evening and rest for our game tomorrow," Ganaru said.
"We have had our plans mapped out since the beginning of the season and I am happy things are working according to that plan.
"The players are in high spirits and they are raring to go. I am sure we are going to get a good result from the game because we have trained very well.
"I pray for good officiating so that the fans will enjoy their money's worth," Ganaru added.
