David Tyavkase: Lobi Stars can win the Nigeria Premier League title

The Makurdi based side is looking to take the league title away from Rangers and Kano Pillars

Lobi Stars captain David Tyavkase has revealed that the Makurdi-based side is capable of winning the Nigeria Premier League trophy at the end of the season.

Tyavkase noted after he led his team to beat Dolphins in Wednesday's league match that Lobi Stars are now the favourites to win the trophy.

“Before this game, nobody believe d that we could beat Dolphins in Port-Harcourt, but we did it and in a grand style too. It shows we have a very good team that can compete for honours this season.

“We can win the League title because we have a good team and we have been doing well in the last six games.

“We have two games to go. One of the games will be against Rangers and the last game against Kaduna United. I am sure we can win the two matches to seal our League victory this season.

“Everybody can attest to the fact that we have a good team and I am looking forward to the remaining matches in the season,” Tyavkase said.

Lobi Stars are presently on the second position on the log with 60 points.
