Nasarawa United secure kit contract with Basry
The newly promoted side will enjoy the services of Basry when the new season begins
Newly promoted Nasarawa United have shown the seriousness with which they want to approach their new status as a Nigeria Premier League side as they have secured a kitting contract with Austria-based Basry.Nasarawa got promoted at the end of the last season in the National League, and the club is committed to ensuring that they put up a good performance in the elite division.
Club chairman Issac Danladi told Goal.com that the deal will be signed in the next couple of days which will usher in a new era for the team as they prepare for new life in the top tier.
"Every arrangement has been concluded and the deal will be signed very soon. It is something good that Nasarawa United is back to the Premier League after six years in the lower division.
"And to think that we have a kitting contract with Basry shows we are serious about turning around the fortunes of the team. Government officials have visited Austria and have finalised all arrangements for the take off of the contract.
"It is something to cherish that we have secured this kitting contract and we are going to make good use of it. I am very sure that the deal with Basry will go a long way towards helping us achieve our aim in our first season in the Premier League.
"I am sure we are going to do our best because we have shown what we can do with the way we have played in the Federation Cup," Danladi said.
Nasarawa United got promoted to the Premier League alongside Nembe City, Bayelsa United and El-Kanemi.
