thumbnail Hello,

The Aba side will now play Heartland on Thursday so as to allow their players and officials have sufficient rest after the Federation Cup match against Kogi United on Sunday

The second leg of the Oriental derby between Enyimba of Aba and Heartland of Owerri fixed for Wednesday has been moved forward by one day.

Enyimba chairman Felix Anyansi Agwu confirmed the new date to Goal.com in an exclusive chat on Sunday.

He disclosed that the heavy downpour which caused the delay of their Federation Cup Round of 32 tie with Kogi United by 24 hours necessitated the new development since his boys will only get to Aba around Tuesday from a hectic road trip.

He said: "I can confirm to you that our NPL tie with Heartland will now come up on Thursday and not Wednesday as earlier advertised.

"The rain that disrupted our match and forced a postponement of our match by 24 hours was responsible for the new date.

The Peoples Elephants won the initial leg 3-2 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu and another win over their next door neighours will mark a remarkable double over the 2011 Federation Cup champions.

Enyimba are third on the league table with 49 points.
