The Ibadan side is confident that the Federation Cup exit will help them concentrate on the Premier League
Shooting Stars say they are confident that they can finish well in the Nigeria Premier League after their ouster from the Federation Cup last weekend.
The Ibadan side lost 1-2 to Fame Academy in Sagamu in the round of 64 and have decided to fully concentrate on their ambition of doing well in the remaining matches in the League.
3SC media officer Jubril Arowolo told Goal.com that they have forgotten about the game to focus on the games in the NPL.
"We have decided that the best thing for us is not to think about the match against Fame Academy in the Federation Cup.
"If we don't forget about the match, then it is going to disturb us and set us back. We have the ambition of playing in the continent next year as we can still finish very well on the league table.
"Our players have shown great courage after the game because the loss has not affected them in any way.
"Next Wednesday, we will play against Akwa United and I am sure our players will be ready for the game.
"Instead of demoralising the players, the loss in the Federation Cup have in fact gingered them to put in their best in the remaining matches of the season.
"I am sure we will get it right before the season is over," Arowolo said.
Shooting Stars are seventh on the log with 46 points.
