Ocean Boys order Samson Unuanel to step down as coach

The Yenagoa side have told Ada Gwegwe to take over from Unuanel till the end of the season.
The management of Ocean Boys of Yenagoa has asked the team's technical adviser Samson Unuanel to step down till the end of the season.
The club through its spokesperson Eddy Ohis told Goal.com that the order became necessary owing to the Yenagoa side's precarious position on the league table which was brought about by the involvement of Unuanel with the Super Falcons. Ocean Boys are at the bottom of the NPL after 32 games.
The club has thus directed Ada Gwegwe to act as interim boss till the end of the season. Gwegwe was Unuanel's assistant until the latest action from the club.
Ohis told Goal.com:"We have told him to step aside till the end of the season.

"He left us for the national team's call at a very unstable situation on the log and of course it is only few management like Ocean Boys that will allow the coach of its team that is not doing too well to take up an appointment outside the club.

"He has been with the female national team for quite some time and you know what it entails to run a male club so we have told coach Ada Gwegwe to be the interim coach since has been acting in Unuanel's absence."
