Sheriff FC hoping to avenge loss against TK FC Academy in the first round of the competition in order to keep their title
TK FC of Lagos and Sherrif FC of Ogun will play the final of the Gulder national 5-A-Side billed for Saturday. This clash of the titans was set up after TK FC dismissed Royal FC 1-0, while Sherrif FC narrowly edged out Mandiba FC 2-1.
The match will afford Sherrif FC who are defending champions of this tournament to avenge the 2-0 loss they suffered to TK FC in their first round match.
TK FC, who are the winners of the Lagos Zone qualifiers got to this stage by demolishing Gidan Bege of Benue 7-1, displacing Sheriff 2-0 , before making a mince meat of Network FC of Port Harcourt 4-1 and local rivals Royal FC of Lagos 1-0.
On the other hand, Sherrif FC winners of the south-west zone started on a bright note beating St Etienne from the South-East Zone 2-1, losing to TK FC 0-2, pummeling Network 5-2 before a hard fought win over Mandiba FC 2-1.
The final promises to be explosive as both teams parade national Futsal team players. Whoever wins the final match will win the ultimate prize of 5 million naira, while the runners up will settle for 3 million naira.
