Goal.com sought out this player and spoke to him. Nasiru is about 5ft 6in tall and very slight in build but he packs a lot of skill and know-how in that lithe frame.
“I just have to thank God for the confidence that my team mates and my coach have in me,” said Nasiru.
“It may be because I have now been playing this tournament for the past three years and I have built up some confidence to help my team,” he added.
His coach Ibrahim Salami is so sure about Nasiru that it is almost like devotion.
”That boy is my coach on the pitch. He can take on two, three players and score.
“Then he listens to all my instructions and carries them out,” Salami added.
Nasiru has scored eight goals in the 2012 Gulder season, scoring five of these against Network FC on Thursday in the round-robin competition from where they qualified for the semi-finals.
He also scored for Futsal Eagles in Cairo against the Egyptian Futsal team though Nigeria lost 8-2.
In his words, “I cannot say that I know it all but God has just given me this grace and I hope to help my team get that N5 million on Saturday. It will be ours by the grace of God, he concluded.
