The Sheriff FC striker scored five goals in Thursday's victory over Network FC to keep him in the run for the tournament's golden boot award
Kabiru Nosiru, who was top scorer at last year’s edition of the Gulder 5-A-Side national finals with seven goals is aiming to win the golden boot again and win the trophy back to back.
“I feel happy scoring 5 goals today though I wasn’t expecting it. I think I am doing what my fans are expecting from me and I promise to score more in the semi-finals to stand a chance of retaining our trophy” Nosiru told Goal.com after scoring all goals as Sheriff FC thrashed Network FC 5-2.
The graduate of Oke Suna Secondary School, Ogun state who is also a member of the National futsal team has told all who care to listen that it is the trophy or nothing.
“I will keep trying my best and we keep hoping for the best. The team spirit is high at the end of the tournament, we will come out top’’ he concluded.
Kabiru Nosiru is currently second on the top scorer’s log with six goals as his closest rival Kehinde Ishola of TK FC Academy is a goal better with seven goals so far.
