St Stephens Pry School win Eti-Osa/Lagos Island FAB-5 Football Challenge
The FAB-5 Football Challenge came to an end on Thursday with St Stephens defeating St Georges school in the final
St. Stephen Primary school have emerged winners at the just concluded Fab-5 Football Challenge (Eti-osa/Lagos island edition) after defeating highly favoured St. Georges Primary School at the grand finale held at the Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos Island on Friday.
Both St. Stephen and St Georges advanced to the final after defeating Badore Pry School and Archbishop Taylor Memorial Pry School in the semi-finals to stage a breathtaking final.
The final had the Rahmon twins from St. Georges who both shared the highest goal scorer award and also Ibitoye Abeeb of St. Stephen who bagged the coveted Most Valuable Player award and whose excellent brace helped secure their 3-1 victory over St. Georges to lift the much anticipated trophy. The competition was covered by continental station SuperSport, Cool FM, Wazobia FM & Nigeria info FM.
The Head of Sport services at Subeb, Lagos state, Mr Olu Akapo has extended a huge gratitude to the organizers of Fab-5FC for not only staging a competition that is extremely laudable but also the donation of jerseys, football kits and general welfare at the event.
"We are grateful to God and all those who supported the competition including SUBEB, Sportvision, IBST Media, Digital Den photography,Supersport Let's play and most especially Strategic Solution Media," Dare Amokeodo of Pet-Bamok & Company said.
Mr Adekunle Ade-Onojobi of Strategic Solution Media signified plans of replicating Fab-5 Football Challenge in other LGAs.
A state Championship is expected to be staged in the fourth quarter which has promised to be even more fun packed.
