The town will have the chance of biased support on the final day as Campus FC fly the town’s flag

As the third day of the Gulder Ultimate 5-A-Side dawns in Oleh, the town will have one side in the last four of the competition.

Campus FC of Oleh defeated the defending champions Sharp Rockets FC on penalties to secure a last four place on Saturday.

The four teams that have made it to the final day are: Sky FC of Benin, Apex FC from Isoko, Ponier FC of Asaba and Campus FC.

Sky FC held their nerves to beat Faith Motors 1-0. Ponier FC beat Focus FC from Warri 3-2 on penalties after a 0-0 stalemate. Young Shall Grow FC lost 1-0 to Apex FC.

Andrew Enogbe, coach of Sharp Rockets who were third two years ago in the national finals, believes whoever comes out of the Oleh group will find a tougher terrain in Lagos.

“Though I am not happy to have lost out but in football you cannot win all the time,” said Enogbe.

“Anyone that wins here must prepare well as the news I have heard from the other zones indicates that the intensity of the competition has increased and teams are now putting more into preparing,” he concluded.
