The Akure side seek to sign new players after qualifying for the league stage of the Champions League
Sunshine Stars coach Gbenga Ogunbote has revealed that he will sign three new players to fortify the team for the league stage of the Caf Champions League.
Ogunbote told Goal.com in Ijebu Ode after his team defeated Djoliba 1-0 to qualify for the league stage of the Champions League that they will reveal the identity of the players very soon.
"I thank God that we have finally qualified for the stage where we have to be very strong to do well. I am going to sign three new players in areas which I think we have not really done well.
"We know what is at stake and that is why we want to make sure that we get the players that can really strengthen us to make a meaningful impact in the competition.
"I am very sure that we are going to do all we can to put Sunshine Stars in a good stead to qualify from our group when the draws are made.
"My players are capable and we are going to be ready when the time comes," Ogunbote boasted.
Sunshine edged the two-legged tie on 2-1 aggregate after they held Djoliba to a 1-1 draw in Bamako a fortnight ago.
