Pillars Rabiu Ali confident Rangers will lose in Kano
After the heartwarming draw against Enyimba, the Kano side wants the three points against the league leaders
In a bid to consolidate on their away draw to Enyimba last Wednesday, Kano Pillars striker Rabiu Ali has sounded a note of warning and is confident that they will beat Rangers in Kano to close the gap on the league table on Sunday.
The two teams will meet in the week 25 game of the Nigeria Premier League and it promises to be a good game from the both sides that have done well all season.
The attacking midfielder who has seven goals to his credit promised to give a good account of himself as well as his team mates to see that they beat Rangers to continue the fight for the coveted trophy.
"We respect Rangers because currently they are in form and are the league leaders but we are not scared because we always have a good team.
They defeated us 3-1 in the first round, I am sure we are going to pay them back in their own coin.
"I will personally make sure that Rangers will not escape without a sound defeat. We need the three points so as to remain in contention for the league title," Ali concluded.
Papa Idris and Gabriel Reuben who are currently in the camp of the Super Eagles, will miss the game just like Rangers’ duo of Ejike Uzoenyi and Ugonna Uzochukwu.
Kano Pillars are presently in the fourth position on the league table with 37 points from 24 matches while Rangers are on top of the table with 43 points from the same number of matches.
