The Nigerian international striker has paid tribute to his club and players for a better 2011/12 season
Nigerian striker, Peter Odemwingie has said that West Brom is a better side this season from last season.
The striker who is nursing a knee injury and is now a major doubt for Nigeria’s matches in June scored 10 goals for the team but could not make up the 15 that he scored last season – his first in the Premier League after his transfer from Locomotiv Moscow in Russia.
“Last season was more difficult. This season has been a bit easier,” said Odemwingie on his club’s website.
“We have looked better and hopefully the team will keep improving and next season we will be more confident in ourselves and try to have better ambitions.
“We have taken a big step forward in the last two years. I don't think we need a lot but every summer brings new players.
“A few players are at the end of contracts so we would expect two or three players as usual. But we have a solid team that, if we stay together, can progress together, “Odemwingie added.
