Eight teams have qualified into the next round of the Enugu Gulder 5 A-Side Football competition even as more knock out matches will be played on Saturday.

Majority of the clubs that moved into the next stage of the competition are not based in Enugu and that has given the competition more excitement.

The teams that have qualified and will wait for their next opponents are Waves of Glory, Equity FC, Royal Stars, Tari FC, Givers FC, Morning Stars, AV FC and Tornado FC.

Technical Adviser of AV Football Club and former Spartans winger, Kevin Onwana whose team defeated Aba 4 Goal 3-1 by penalties after a 1-1 draw told Goal.com that he is looking forward to the second day of the competition.

"The Aba side gave us a good game and we conceded the first goal. But we rallied round and equalised and qualified through penalties.

" I want to watch how the second day will go because I know that a lot of the teams will really come out and show the stuff they are made of," Onwana said.
