The Ibadan side will not have the services of the player that was stabbed in Gombe for five games
Shooting Stars striker Raheem Owolabi, who was stabbed during the week 22 Nigeria Premier League game in Gombe, will be out of action for three weeks
Officials of the Ibadan side told Goal.com that the striker is recovering from the incident in Gombe and would take some time before he begins to train again.
"The stitches are still on his hands and after they open it, he will have to stay for another one week before he starts jogging when he is supposed to regain fitness.
"Right now, he is resting and trying to use his medicine very well because he wants to do everything possible not to make the hand swollen when he begins to play again.
"We are hopeful that he will recover on time so that he can join us to fight for a good finish in the Nigeria Premier League. He is a good player and we are going to miss him.
"We are sure that when he starts playing again, he will sure strengthen the team".
Shooting Stars will host league leaders, Kano Pillars today at the Lekan Salami Stadium in week 23 of the league. The Ibadan side are placed 14th on the league table with 26 points.
