Niger Tornadoes attacker says he has not dumped the Minna side for Kwara United
Striker Sibi Gwar has stated that he remains a player of Niger Tornadoes and is not leaving his current club for Kwara United
Gwar in an exclusive chat with Goal.com confessed there were discussions between his representatives and the Afonja Warriors but that no concrete decision had been taken by him since Kwara United have certain issues to iron out before a deal can be sealed.
He stated that he remains committed to the cause of Tornadoes and ensuring that the club stays beyond this season in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
“I am still an official player of Tornadoes, I have not moved to Kwara United. It is true that Kwara United made overtures to me but they couldn’t meet up with my personal terms and a deal could not be finalized. If I move to another club before the transfer window closes, everybody will know,” said Gwar who scored 10 goals in the second stanza of the NPL last season.
"If they fulfil their part of the contract, then I will move to Ilorin but for now I am committed to Tornadoes.
"We want to remain in the NPL and that is our cardinal objective for now,” said he.
Gwar who had featured for Enyimba and Kwara United in the past has already plundered six goals in the first stanza and he was not in the team that lost 0-2 to Sharks over the weekend in the restart of the second stanza of the league.
