The Aba Millionaires defeated their eastern opponents in a very tense game in Enugu that resulted in crowd trouble at the end of the day

Enyimba defeated Heartland 3-2 in Sunday’s game of the Nigeria Premier League to move to second position on the log.

The Oriental derby lived up to its billing until the end of the match when fans of Heartland took the laws into their hands by attacking the match officials.

Heartland had started the game on a bright note when in the seventh minute Kabiru Umar scored the first goal and former Rangers striker, Abdul Haruna got the second goal for the Owerri side.

Enyimba battled back into reckoning when Chinonso Okonkwo pulled one back.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen immediately substituted him and Ndube Anajemba, the new player that came in, scored with his first touch to give fans of Enyimba hope that they could salvage something from the match.

Henry Uche sealed the hopes of Heartland when he scored the third goal for Enyimba in the 57th minute of the game.

Heartland struggled to level up but they could not get the goal to even scores.

As soon as referee Gabriel Adigwe ended the game, fans of Heartland rushed to the pitch and chased him before they got hold of other match officials and inflicted some serious injuries on them.
