Barzagli: Marrone the future of Juventus
The Italy international has hailed his team-mate's versatility, and believes he has what it takes to become a key player at the Serie A champions
Andrea Barzagli has taken the time to praise Luca Marrone in the wake of Juventus' 1-1 Coppa Italia draw against Lazio on Tuesday evening.The 22-year-old has impressed whenever called upon by head coach Antonio Conte, and Barzagli feels his team-mate has a bright future ahead of him.
"Luca possesses great quality. He’s good at man-marking and can withstand physical contact," Barzagli told reporters.
"He is very good as a central midfielder, but he also knows how to adapt well as a central defender.
"When he’ll be able to play more regularly he’ll also gain consistency and will be the future of Juventus."
Marrone has made eight appearances for the Bianconeri so far this season.
