Moratti: I'd rather have Sneijder than Pastore
The Argentina international has been touted as a possible replacement for the want-away playmaker, but the Nerazzurri boss still hopes the Dutchman will stay put
Inter president Massimo Moratti has made it clear that he would rather hold on to Wesley Sneijder than bring in Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain.The Argentina international has been linked with a move to the Giuseppe Meazza side as Sneijder's future at the club is in doubt, but Moratti has not given up hopes of holding on the gifted midfielder just yet.
"Between Sneijder and Pastore, I'd rather have Sneijder. He's the best there is in my opinion," Moratti told reporters.
"Too much has already been said about this. I have an excellent relationship with the lad and when Wesley returns he'll provide added value."
The 28-year-old Sneijder has not featured for Inter since September 26 due to a an ongoing contract dispute, and the Netherlands international stressed earlier this week that he has no intention of accept inga significant pay cut and sign a new deal.
