Allegri: AC Milan should not underestimate Catania

The Rossoneri coach has warned against complacency and has made it clear that they still have a long way to go this season
Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that AC Milan cannot afford to underestimate Catania in Friday's Serie A encounter.

The Rossoneri recorded wins over Anderlecht and Juventus last week, but Allegri has stressed that the San Siro side still have a long way to go.

"Last week, we won against Anderlecht, we played a good match in Naples and we played well against Juventus. Friday’s game is just as important in the league," Allegri said at a press conference.

"We have to have respect and not underestimate anyone. We have to play with intensity and competitiveness.

"It’s not a question of turning things around. My concept of what is right for the team hasn’t changed. We needed a bit of time to get started and do something good and we had to change our attitude.

"We’ve done nothing yet but the players are growing. They are all improving. We still need time, though. By February we’ll be in a better place and our league position will have changed."

Milan currently sit ninth in the Serie A table with 18 points from 14 games.
