'Milan have always been a team of winners' - Pato believes Rossoneri can win the Scudetto

The Brazilian attacker has stressed that the San Siro side are capable of fighting for the Serie A title, even without the likes Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Alexandre Pato is confident that AC Milan have what it takes to challenge for top honours in the 2012-13 campaign.

The San Siro giants parted company with players such as Alessandro Nesta, Thiago Silva, Clarence Seedorf and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among others, but Pato believes they will be able to cope with the loss of several key players, and fight for the Scudetto.

"Milan have always been a team of winners, even after they lost some high-profile names," the Brazil international was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I am convinced that we can fight for the Scudetto again this time, too. We are strong in every position and I'm confident we'll do well.

"Ibrahimovic is a great champion and he has done some very good things for the club. However, I think we can cope with his departure."

Milan open the new Serie A season with a home match against Sampdoria on August 26.
