The experienced midfielder has insisted that he will not leave the Nerazzurri this summer, and is keen to return to full match fitnessDejan Stankovic has made it clear that he intends to end his professional career at Inter.
The Serbian midfielder has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer in recent months, but the 33-year-old has stressed that he is keen to stay at San Siro.
"I'll end my career at Inter, for sure. I'm happy here and I'll always be grateful to president [Massimo] Moratti," Stankovic stated to Sky Sport Italia.
"I can't imagine myself anywhere else. I want to stay at Inter. Thoughts do cross your mind occasionally but I can't see myself leaving Inter. It's nice to get offers at the age of 33-34 - it means you've still got it."
Stankovic underwent surgery on an Achilles tendon injury back in May, and he is desperate to return to full match fitness.
"All I'm thinking about is getting back into shape. It's been two months since I had my operation and I want to get back to fitness as soon as possible. I feel good and I can't wait to start running."
Stankovic has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2014.
