Florian Raspentino is itching to get the season under way with his new club Marseille, despite not having played a minute in Ligue 1 as of yet.
The 23-year-old is confident that his team-mates will be capable of challenging Paris Saint-Germain this term.
"It's a huge moment for me," enthused the former Nantes forward to Ligue 1.com. "I'm now playing for the club I've supported since I was a little kid.
"On top of my love for the shirt, I'm very happy that there is a very promising sporting project under way here. It's a great time to come here because this season the young players will have much more of a chance to play.
"Naturally, the side on everyone's mind now is Paris Saint-Germain, and when you see the kind of players they're bringing in, it's impressive. But you never know what can happen in football, and I think Marseille can beat them this year."
Raspentino's chances of featuring regularly in Elie Baup's first team are likely to receive a boost given the departure of Brazilian striker Brandao
