Loic Remy returns to pre-season training with Marseille after missing Euro 2012

The France international has begun preparations for the new season after missing out on Poland and Ukraine, with the club also boosted by the return of Morgan Amalfitano
Loic Remy has resumed pre-season training with Olympique de Marseille after missing out on France's unsuccessful Euro 2012 campaign.

The 25-year-old forward suffered a thigh injury on the final day of the Ligue 1 campaign and was forced to leave Laurent Blanc's squad for the championship, but has now resumed pre-season workout in the club's training complex in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.

Furthermore, team-mate Morgan Amalfitano has also returned to the side after successfully recovering from an injury. However, Rod Fanni was forced to train alone due to a quadricep injury, but should recover ahead of the club's first friendly against FC Sion next week.

Souleymane Diawara continues his rehabilitation from a long-term knee ligament problem, whilst Jeremy Morel sits out after suffering a foot ailment.

New Marseille coach Elie Baup, appointed earlier this week, has already been boosted with the arrival of Florian Raspentino, who joined the club in Switzerland for their pre-season preparations.
