thumbnail Hello,

So after a dramatic Capital One Cup semi-final at Old Trafford, it is Sunderland that go through to the Wembley final to meet Manchester City, but who makes Goal's team of the week?

In goal, Vito Mannone (4) takes the No.1 jersey after the former Arsenal goalkeeper had a fantastic game against Manchester United, dealing comfortably with what David Moyes' side had to throw at him, including saves from Adnan Januzaj and Rafael in the shootout.

STAR MAN: MARCOS LOPES
RATING VS WEST HAM

Whipped a peach of a delivery onto Negredo's head from the left. Tackled well and superbly opened the space for Aguero's goal, beating a succession of challenges. Looks a fantastic prospect.
Continuing the Sunderland theme, Marcos Alonso (3) and Phil Bardsley (3) are picked at left and right full-back respectively, with former Real Madrid man Alonso scoring his spot kick, while Bardsley's late strike in fortunate circumstances helped force the shootout.

Despite being on the losing side, Jonny Evans (3.5) sneaks into Goal's team of the week as his headed goal helped keep the Red Devils in the tie at Old Trafford, while Matija Nastasic (3) steps in alongside the Northern Irishman for his solid, if unspectacular, outing at West Ham.

Manchester City have a new kid on the block and he goes by the name of Marcos Lopes (4). The young Portugal Under-19 international was handed a start by Manuel Pellegrini at Upton Park and he did not disappoint, creating a goal for Sergio Aguero and generally looking bright in the 3-0 win.

And United boast a young starlet of their own, with Adnan Januzaj (4) once again proving his side's stand-out performer in the penalty defeat to Sunderland, grabbing a wonderful assist when all looked lost in the dying moments of the game to force extra time.

More of Gus Poyet's triumphant Sunderland side complete Goal's midfield, with Ki Sung-Yeung (3.5) and Adam Johnson (3.5) both getting the nod for playing their part in the penalty triumph that sealed their spot at Wembley.

In attack, it's Manchester City's deadly duo Sergio Aguero (3.5) and Alvaro Negredo (4). Both strikers were on the scoresheet in the 3-0 triumph over Sam Allardyce's West Ham, with Negredo's second arguably the pick of the bunch.
