Goal picks out the best performers across the weekend in Germany, with no Bayern Munich players making the cut this time out
After their recent stumbles against Napoli and Nurnberg, Borussia Dortmund were back to their brilliant best against Freiburg on Saturday, winning 5-0 to keep their place at the top of the table and, unsurprisingly, they are heavily represented in Goal's Team of the Week.
In goal, we have Koen Casteels of Hoffenheim, who may have conceded three times, but made some great saves as his side came back from two goals behind to draw with Schalke.
His club team-mate David Abraham joins him in our XI after an assured display, while Omer Toprak was impressive as Bayer Leverkusen kept up their fine start to the season by beating Hannover 2-0 at home. The final defensive spot goes to Mats Hummels, who got over some recent criticism by showcasing his best form against Freiburg.
A fine array of attacking talent lines up in midfield. Sidney Sam strengthened his case for a World Cup berth with a goal for B04, Eljero Elia of Bremen scored twice against Nurnberg, who rescued a draw thanks to an Adam Hlousek effort, Ibrahima Traore was on target in Stuttgart's 4-0 win over Braunschweig and Marco Reus netted a double in Dortmund's demolition of SCF.
The front line shared four goals between them. The past week brought with it fresh speculation over Robert Lewandowski's future, but the Polish striker was in brilliant form for Dortmund, while Sami Allagui's two strikes helped Hertha Berlin beat Mainz 3-1.
