The Bavarians have been pipped to the domestic title by Borussia Dortmund in the past two seasons, and the Frenchman feels it is time to end BVB's dominance.
"The number one priority must be the Bundesliga title," Lizarazu stated to the official Bayern website.
"Dortmund have been champions twice. Let's stop them right there! Bayern must beat Dortmund at last, and then they can think about Europe."
Lizarazu made over 150 league appearances for Bayern during his two stints at the club, and the Frenchman has nothing but fond memories of his time in Germany.
"I'm delighted I decided to accept the offer from Bayern back then. It was the best decision of my life as a footballer. It feels good to be part of this club. The eight-and-a-half years with Bayern were the best time of my club career."
Lizarazu has also represented Girondins de Bordeaux, Athletic Bilbao and Olympique de Marseille.
