The 22-year-old attacker suffered an ankle injury in the 2-0 Copa del Rey victory at Getafe on January and was expected to be sidelined for a month.
Barcelona have now confirmed that the Brazil international will imminently be available for selection again.
"Neymar took an important step towards his return to the first team this morning when he joined in training with the rest of the squad for the first time since his ankle injury," the club's official website confirmed.
The former Santos forward has scored six goals in 16 league appearances for the Liga champions this season.
Barcelona are currently preparing for their Copa del Rey second-leg semi-final clash with Real Sociedad in San Sebastian on Wednesday, having triumphed 2-0 in the first leg at Camp Nou last week.
Gerardo Martino's men then face Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Saturday before travelling to the Etihand for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester City.
