Conte: Juventus' best game is yet to come
The suspended coach believes that the Turin powerhouse can still get better, and added that they must keep on developing to keep up with their biggest European rivals
Antonio Conte has voiced his opinion that Juventus still have room for improvement and cannot afford to lose focus after their Champions League win over Chelsea. The Serie A champions put in an impressive performance in Tuesday's encounter, but Conte has stressed that it is crucial to put in a similar display in their final group game against Shakhtar Donetsk in order to book their ticket for the round of 16.
"We hope our best game is yet to come. First we’ll think about getting through to the knockout stages, an important step to consolidate ourselves on the European stage, from a financial point of view and also for Italy," Conte was quoted as saying on the Juventus website.
The Juve coach then went on to stress that the Bianconeri must keep on developing in order to keep up with the wealthier teams from Spain, England, France and Germany.
"We need to improve and continue to grow, because there’s too much of a divide between the Italian game and football in other countries.
"With teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich or Chelsea, there’s no contest on an economic level, but we have ideas, organization, heart and legs."
Juventus are currently preparing for the Serie A match away against AC Milan.
