Lars Bender scored a late winner after Lukas Podolski and Michael Krohn-Dehli had exchanged first-half goals as Germany secured a 2-1 win over Denmark to advance as group winners, while in the other fixture, Cristiano Ronaldo's double condemned the Netherlands to a 2-1 defeat after they had opened the scoring through Rafael van der Vaart.
The loss was the Oranje's third at the tournament and they are eliminated along with Denmark.
