Chelsea new-boy Andre Schurrle believes Jose Mourinho has a "special personality" and is looking forward to working with him at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues this week announced they had agreed a deal in principle to sign the Germany international, with the deal believed to be worth somewhere in the region of €21 million.
And Schurrle, who becomes Chelsea's first signing since the return of Mourinho was announced, thinks the Special One has a character to match his nickname.
"He really has an special personality and seems cool," Schurrle told Bild.
"He met me during Michael Ballack's farewell game and told me 'It's through, you're my player!'"
Schurrle revealed Germany team-mates Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira, who both worked under Mourinho at Real Madrid, played an important role in his decision to move to Stamford Bridge.
"They both told me that [Mourinho] is the best coach they have ever worked with," he added.
Schurrle has been criticised in some quarters for putting his World Cup place in jeopardy by choosing a squad as competitive as Chelsea.
But the 22-year-old has revealed that Germany coach Joachim Low is fully behind his decision. "Joachim Löw thinks that Chelsea fits my style of playing," he insisted.
