Andre Villas-Boas' side face London rivals West Ham and Arsenal in back-to-back games, a run of fixtures which the January arrival says he is looking forward to being part of
Tottenham midfielder Lewis Holtby says that he is "buzzing" to be involved in his side's upcoming London derby clashes with West Ham and Arsenal.Spurs travel to face the Hammers at Upton Park on Monday evening before hosting their bitter rivals at White Hart Lane six days later.
And the Germany international, who arrived at the club from Schalke in January, is excited by the prospect of both games. “I can’t wait and we’ve two massive games in a row now, West Ham and Arsenal,” he told the club's official website.
“It doesn’t get better than that! I’m already buzzing for those games. Everyone was so chuffed, delighted for all the hard work we put in [against Lyon] and I think we deserved it over the 90 minutes.
“It was great to see the lads so happy and we now go with a good feeling to West Ham on Monday, another huge game.”
With Chelsea having dropped points against Manchester City on Sunday, Holtby underlined the importance of moving into third with a win over West Ham.
“It’s an important game for everyone, for the fans, for West Ham, for us, sitting in fourth spot and trying reach third, it’s a vital game,” he added.
