The Magpies' boss believes that his former star striker will miss the big-match feel of St James' Park after the Toon beat his current club, Chelsea, on Tyneside on Saturday
The Senegalese star was given a frosty reception on his return to Tyneside on Saturday as the Magpies beat the west London side 3-2 amid a stirring atmosphere.
Ba claimed after switching clubs that he was moving to bigger and better things, but Pardew does not believe that Stamford Bridge can recreate the kind of match-day feel as St James' Park.
Pardew told reporters: "I've been at some big clubs where you don't get an atmosphere like that. Big, big clubs... even at Manchester United.
"You can go to three quarters of their home games and you don't get an atmosphere like that. It was unbelievable.
"That's what we've got. Demba's going to miss it at Chelsea, trust me."
Ba's return to Newcastle was soured further after he was forced off in the first half of the game after having his nose broken in a challenge with Fabricio Coloccini.
