TEAM NEWS: Ba preferred to Torres for Chelsea clash with Southampton

Both managers make two changes from their last outings, as they meet again less than two weeks on from the Blues' 5-1 victory over Saints in the FA Cup at St Mary's
Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez has opted to start Demba Ba up front ahead of Fernando Torres for his side's clash with Southampton on Wednesday evening.

The former Newcastle forward made his Blues debut against Nigel Adkins' men 10 days ago, and netted twice in a 5-1 win at St Mary's

And the Senegalese forward has been chosen yet again for the Premier League meeting at Stamford Bridge, with Benitez making two changes from the west London outfit's 4-0 win over Stoke.

Branislav Ivanovic and Ryan Bertrand drop out of the starting line-up, with Gary Cahill and Oscar replacing them.

Visiting manager Adkins, meanwhile, has also made two changes from his side's last game - a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Aston Villa.

Leading goalscorer Rickie Lambert drops to the bench with Gaston Ramirez, while Sean Davis and Guly Do Prado return to the side.
