The former Red Devils striker heaps praise on his old captain as he selects a combination of the greatest players from his trophy-laden time at the Old Trafford club
After Ryan Giggs hailed Paul Scholes as "the best player I've ever played with," the Norwegian striker followed suit by picking the veteran alongside Keane but judged the Irishman’s impact to be greater.
"If I could pick one player in front of any player I've ever played with it would be Keano," Solskjaer told Abu Dhabi Sports. "He had everything; a leader, a player, probably the best I have played with.
"Scholesy is a magician in midfield," he added, "still going strong now when he is 38. His range of passing is fantastic. He's not the quickest, he doesn't run the most, he never wins a header and he can't tackle but he's the best player!”

"He was up and down that line, I don't know how many years he played for United, but there was never a game where you felt: 'Come on, start working'."
Alongside Jaap Stam, Rio Ferdinand and Denis Irwin, Solskjaer plumped for Gary Neville in his back four, though he remarked: "The worst thing with Gary is he always kissed you when you scored a goal."
With Edwin van der Sar in goal, the Norwegian opted for Eric Cantona and Ruud van Nistelrooy up front, hailing the latter for his drive to be the best.
"He was the best finisher by a mile that I've seen," Solskjaer recalled. "If he missed one out of 10 chances he would go and kill himself. He was that proud, he was great to watch."
