The summer signing from Fiorentina has reinvigorated the champions' defence over the past few games, but is refusing to settle for anything less than an unblemished record
The champions have conceded just once in six Premier League games since the young Serb took his place in the team, but the former Fiorentina man believes that is still one goal too many.
He told reporters: "Everything is going well for us. In the last six games we have only conceded one goal – now we need to keep it going, but this time make it no goals."
The 19-year-old has slotted seemlessly into Roberto Mancini's line-up, and is currently keeping the more experienced Joleon Lescott and Kolo Toure on the bench.
The summer signing credits his fine form to captain Vincent Kompany, and admits that the skipper is helping him to become a better player.
"We talk every day on the pitch and on the training ground, and it makes me happy to play alongside such an excellent captain and in such a good team," he continued.
"Whatever I am learning, I am learning along with Vinny."
