Gareth Bale believes the upcoming north London derby against Arsenal presents the “perfect situation” for Tottenham to recover from Sunday’s loss to Manchester City.
Spurs have endured a mixed campaign so far, reaching as high as fourth before two defeats on the bounce saw Andre Villas-Boas’ side drop to seventh in the Premier League table.
However, Bale is positive he and his team-mates can get their form back on track with a victory over their close rivals at the Emirates.
"It’s almost the perfect situation," the Welshman told the club’s official website.
"All form goes out of the window in the derby; we’ll go out there to play for the fans and try to go out for a victory.

Bale also emphasised the importance of the atmosphere during the game, with the fans' “noise and energy” capable of giving the team a valuable boost.
He continued: “The lads concentrate on the game and try to treat it as just another game, but we know how important it is for the fans.
"If you score a goal, the noise and energy around the stadium gives you a lift and keeps you going. I did it before and I'm looking to trying to do the same again.”
