The youngster missed the opening-day draw with Sunderland but will resume full training on Friday as Arsene Wenger's men aim to get their season up and running in the MidlandsArsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to return to the Gunners' squad for their trip to Stoke on Sunday, but defender Laurent Koscielny is ruled out.
Oxlade-Chamberlain sat out last weekend's opening fixture, when Arsene Wenger’s side were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland, but the 19-year-old is due to return to full training on Friday and should make the trip to the Britannia Stadium.
France international Koscielny is definitely ruled out however, having failed to recover from a calf injury picked up in pre-season which meant he also missed last weekend’s stalemate.
"He [Koscielny] will not be back [for the Stoke game]," Wenger told reporters. "But he should definitely be back next week. So he should play in the game after Stoke."
When quizzed on the fitness of England international Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wenger added: "He should be back in the training group from Friday. He has not practiced with the team yet, but he should be in the squad for Stoke."
Both sides will be looking to register their first win of the campaign after Stoke grabbed a point at newly-promoted Reading last Saturday in a 1-1 draw.
