The Super Eagles midfielder remains optimistic that the Nigerian team will become champions againNigeria midfielder John Mikel Obi, has stated that he has started dreaming of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations trophy after a long trophy drought for the former two-time African champions.
Obi who was voted the man of the match in the game against Burkina Faso noted that the players are in a good frame of mind to pick the three points against Zambia on Friday.
“We may have drawn our first game but we need to settle down and forget it and concentrate on the next game. There is no problem with the team because we are determined to make Nigerians happy after the match against the defending champions.
"What happened in the match against Burkina Faso will not repeat itself. We are going to take our chances in the next game.
"I know that everything will work well for us on Friday because we need to win that game to put our Nations Cup participation on a sound footing.
"I can see us smiling home with the trophy at the end of the day because we have a team that can win the ultimate prize for the third time,” he said during Tuesday’s evening training session.
