The Chelsea defender has been handed a recall after recuperating fully from shoulder injury
Omeruo has been training with the Chelsea first team after recuperating from shoulder injury he copped with Nigeria at the Fifa Confederations Cup in Brazil and played for the U-21s against West Ham on Friday.
Coach Stephen Keshi has also given a recall to former Kano Pillars midfielder, Reuben Gabriel, whose national team appearances have been limited by injuries.
The 25-man list will prosecute the World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia and then travel to Fulham’s Craven Cottage to take on the Italian national team on November 18. The Super Eagles hold a 2-1 lead going into the second leg and last met the Italians during the 1994 World Cup where the Italians scrapped to a 2-1 win in the second round.
Of the 25 invited players, five are from the Nigeria Professional Football League and are led by goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim.
