Egypt set for Morocco-based training camp
After a string of friendly victories, Egypt are looking to stay sharp ahead of 2014 World Cup qualifiers and will do so by training in Morocco
Egyptian national team assistant coach Diaa El Sayed has revealed that the Pharaohs are set for a Morocco-based training camp that will begin on May 1. After beating the likes of Uganda, Chad, and Nigeria, the former continental champions are hoping to face more African sides in order to better prepare for upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
“We will organize a camp on the first of May without the players of Al Ahly, Zamalek, and ENPI,” said El Sayed while speaking to Modern Sport TV.
“We’ve requested meeting with big teams such as Ghana, Cameroon, Mali, Togo, and Cote D’Ivoire.”
Egypt coach Bob Bradley will thus select from the pool of Egyptian players who aren’t representing their club sides in continental competitions and will have them at his disposal for two weeks.
